Bridging Gaps

Too often the phrase has been said, "working with pharmacists is like herding cats." All members of pharmacy staffing & ownership must work together to ensure the longevity of the industry, and maintain the safety of our communities.

Start The Process

The first step into bridging gaps in retail pharmacy industry is identifying friend versus foe…  Basic rule of thumb: is the store a brick & mortar location serving the public for a greater good?  Then they are friend!

Now, we must start treating each other like friends…  This part is the most difficult for most to overcome, as we have been entrained to believe we are all in competition with and cannot share or have similar ideas with each other…

This means your local CVS, Good Neighbor, HealthMart, LeaderNet, Medicine Shoppe, Walgreens, Walmart, or any other physical location operating as a pharmacy is your friend.  Find ways to work together for your local community.  Each has their own strengths and weaknesses, work together to build your community stronger than ever, ensuring patients are cared for in every aspect possible!

Retail Stores Are Your Friends

Physical locations in your community serve a purpose, otherwise they wouldn't be present. Yes, each is a business structure that requires profit to maintain, but there is a positive way for all to maintain if we can work together for the common good!

Independents VS Corporates

Each store location has pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, alike. They are people with an investment into their community - just like you! What can each bring to the table for your community that is a positive outcome for all involved?

Many Small = BIG

Together, we can begin to take back our own industry and control what is needed to ensure we all stay viable. Without retail pharmacies, where will patients be able to walk in and obtain expert advice immediately for medical needs? Where does your community come to for resources beyond the pharmacy?
